Volunteers needed for VFC 2012

As the car show season is about to kick-off the Virginia Fall Classic committee is making plans for its culmination. If you care about children in need and don't mind a litte car talk come join us for our planning meetings for the annual car show weekend event this October 19-21 that raises money to help the Childrens Hospital of the King's Daughters. We meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7 PM at the Comfort Inn, by Patrick Henry mall.

Special leaders needed:
If we are going to continue our popular "Kid's Area" we need someone to take charge of this very important part of the Saturday show.

Volunteers needed for Oct 21,22,&23 of 2011

The same outline below still stands as the model of most of the volunteers needed.  In addition we could use some quick set up tents for Friday night's event.  Also, regarding spectator parking; we are covered for the beginning but could still use more volunteers willing to fill in as the day goes on, especially toward the end.
There is always more room in the area of clean up at the end of the events too.  Please read the post below for more details & contact information.  We will be glad to accept any amount of time and in any way you are able to volunteer. Thank You in advance on behalf of the VFC committee, the other volunteers, and CHKD.

October 23, 24 and 25

Be there!
This weekend's show; October 23rd, 24th & 25th!
So far the weather does not look too bad so Saturday's show is still on Saturday. Volunteers are still needed so if you have time, come out early Saturday morning, 7am to help set up or find one of us during the day to give an hour or two to help things run smoothly. Do it for the children!

Saturday's events moved to Sunday!

Hey everyone,
We have to move Saturday's events to Sunday. This means if you are on the schedule for helping Saturday please come Sunday if you can. Friday's schedule will remain the same.

Va. Fall Classic CAR SHOW moved from 10/25 to 10/26

Dear Friends of the Children,

Due the very high probability of rain for Saturday we are moving the Car
Show to SUNDAY. We will extend the registration until 1:00 pm, to allow
people to attend church and still be part of this charity event. Also we
hope to have an informal church service in the late morning. As of 4:00 pm
Thursday, 10/23/08, the forecast is showing breezy with a 70% chance of rain
for Saturday and mostly sunny on Sunday. It only makes sense that we move
the event to a dry day for maximum participation. Some will be at Newport
News Park Friday morning for placement and some set-up and the Friday night
event at Ferguson will still be held as planned. It will still go on!
PLEASE share this thru your club's telephone call list and email systems.
You could even forward the link to the VFC www.VaFallClassic.org to your
friends where they can receive the latest information. If you should get
this more then once count yourself lucky that your friends shared it with
you! It will be posted on the website www.VaFallClassic.org and again
PLEASE share it any way you can.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, but remember we do
this event for the fun and "For the BABIES!!!".

Thanks,
Hal
